About Mr Sam Wilde

Sam Wilde is the Group Clinic Director and Advanced Practice Physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience in the field. After spending seven years in large NHS teaching hospitals, Sam joined Pure Sports Medicine in 2004, where he divides his time between seeing patients in the Kensington clinic and managing various aspects of the business.

Throughout his career, Sam has worked across multiple specialties, including Orthopaedics and Rheumatology, before specialising in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy for the past 25 years, with 20 years in the private sector. He has developed a particular passion for addressing shoulder and elbow problems, both in the general population and among athletes, although he is dedicated to assisting anyone in need of rehabilitation.

As a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Physiotherapy (MACP), Sam is committed to thoroughly understanding the root cause of his patients' issues, providing accurate diagnoses, and delivering detailed treatment plans to ensure their recovery. He strongly believes in a collaborative approach to patient care and actively considers the most effective strategies to achieve optimal results.

Sam's specialist interests include shoulder pain, elbow pain, back pain as well as post-surgical rehabilitation for the shoulder and elbow. With his wealth of experience and dedication to patient-centred care, Sam strives to help individuals overcome their musculoskeletal challenges, regain their mobility and quality of life.

Sam provided the best physiotherapy care I have received. I had a long standing back injury for well over a year, had seen many different professionals about it, and he fixed it in a matter of weeks. If you are struggling with an issue for a long time and feeling hopeless then he is your guy. He's helped me with various other issues also - he is my go-to physiotherapist for any issues I have now.

Sam was absolutely brilliant. He looked at my injury in the context of my life and what is normal for me Vs what would be normal for the average person. So identified the true root of the problem rather than throwing the easy answer. Highly professional, personable and thorough. Always recommend Sam whenever any teammates have issues.

Sam was a great physio. It was a seamless experience from diagnosis of the problem through treatment. Exercises were clearly explained, though kept flexible to fit my situation, and easy to build on. I would certainly recommend him.

Sam has been amazing. I don’t think I’d have the use of an arm if it wasn’t for his expert treatment

Sam Wilde is the Rolls Royce of physiotherapy. Not just an excellent clinician but one whose compassion, emotional intelligence and levels of care are, I believe, intrinsic to his success rates. I broke my shoulder two years ago in a traumatic incident abroad yet as soon as I came under the supervision of Sam, I knew I was going to get through this. Compared with the NHS staff I've also encountered at this time who could not have been more dismissive of my injury, this was a whole new level of care. I left every session motivated, determined and focused on recovery. And crucially, I enjoyed every session thanks to Sam's easy going manner and gentle sense of humour which lifted the spirits whenever the road ahead seemed too tough to navigate. I would recommend him in a heart beat.
