Rupa Lyall

Rupa Lyall is a Pharmacist and Menopause Specialist who has been qualified for over 20 years, and now owns an online menopause clinic. After gaining significant NHS experience in community and primary care, Rupa decided to specialise in the menopause after listening to the stories of women who felt their symptoms were misunderstood, and were unable to access the right treatment or guidance. She finds her work incredibly rewarding and enjoys helping people manage their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Rupa feels strongly about the importance of tackling the taboo present surrounding the menopause accessing menopause care. She aims to help patients feel understood and listened to, and her empathetic attitude helps those she works with improve their quality of life alongside their confidence. She works collaboratively with her patients, providing them with evidence-based information to enable them to make informed decisions that feel right for them. Rupa particularly values supporting women from all different backgrounds, and she recognises the impact that individual experiences and cultures can have on how the menopause is experienced. As well as offering her clinical expertise, she is a compassionate and caring practitioner who is able to support those aspects of the menopause as well.

Rupa holds multiple qualifications including her MPharm from the University of Portsmouth in 2003. She is an Independent Prescriber, holds an Advanced Certificate in the Principles and Practice in Menopause Care from the British Menopause Society and also a Diploma in Minor Illness. As well as offering online appointments, she is able to order and interpret blood tests, work collaboratively with patients’ GPs and she offers bespoke workplace talks and workshops.

Rupa is also able to speak Punjabi and understand Hindi and Urdu which allows South Asian women to access evidence based information and care.
