Dr Pradeep Deshpande

Dr Pradeep Deshpande is a senior Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine with a long-standing career in neurorehabilitation, complex disability management and multidisciplinary rehabilitation care. After more than three decades of NHS service, he has transitioned into a portfolio of clinical, academic and independent rehabilitation roles, including work with Active Care Group, Smart Rehabilitation and Hull & York Medical School.

His practice is particularly focused on people recovering from brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke and other complex neurological conditions, with an emphasis on restoring function, supporting independence and helping patients reintegrate into everyday life through coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation .He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop individual rehabilitation strategies aimed at improving mobility, independence, participation and quality of life.

Medical education remains an important part of Dr Deshpande’s career. Following retirement from his long-term NHS post, he took up an Honorary Senior Lecturer role at Hull & York Medical School, continuing his involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
