Mr Patrick Thamotheram

Patrick Thamotheram is an experienced Acupuncturist who has his own clinic, Acupuncture London North West.

He completed a three-year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture at London South Bank University, working with the Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This included 400 hours of clinical practice supervised by practitioners from Heilongjiang University in North East China. Having graduated with first class honours, he has gone on to be a successful and passionate acupuncturist.

Patrick's interest in acupuncture started over 30 years ago when one session with an acupuncturist helped him break his habits as a chain smoker. Patrick's initial degree was in microbiology and biochemistry, making him sceptical about the benefits of acupuncture when the basis of it is less rational than modern science. After his first acupuncture session he never smoked again and was amazed by the power of acupuncture, especially as his partner had also found that it had helped reduce the severity of her son's seizures. The importance and power of traditional Chinese medicine can be seen in China where they offer acupuncture instead of traditional anaesthesia at some hospitals.

Now he is a qualified acupuncturist helping others achieve their goals. Patrick is registered with the British Acupuncture Council. He specialises in helping pain, anxiety, stress, insomnia, low energy, sciatica, arthritis, blood pressure, digestive issues, menstrual issues, fertility support and migraines.
