Dr. Pallavi Gaitonde

Dr. Pallavi Gaitonde is a Restorative Dental Specialist based at Porter Brook Dental Practice. In addition to her work at Porter Brook, she works as a Hospital Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Hull & East Yorkshire NHS Trust where she works in Multi-Disciplinary Head and Neck Oncology and Hypodontia Teams.

Pallavi completed her specialisation in restorative dentistry 2007, comprising of 5 years of rigorous training at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and is on the GDC Specialist Register for Restorative Dentistry as well as Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics.

She is extremely experienced, having achieved her BDS in 1994 and trained extensively since then. Her passion for attention to detail has driven her to achieving a high standard of clinical results. Her specialisation puts her among a select few dentists who have such expertise in their field. She works with a highly trained team of dental nurses and technicians to create excellent outcomes for patients.

In addition to her other work, she provides treatment planning advice for dental practitioners in the region and receives referral requests for treating patients from external dental practices, as well as self-referrals from patients.

Pallavi is also active in education and is heavily involved in the training of Dental Foundation Trainees. She also sits on the panel of examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons for the MJDF examinations. Her academic portfolio also consists of an M Phil in BioMaterials, University of Sheffield and she has published scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
