Dr. Mike Apio

Dr. Apio is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a wealth of experience. He qualified as a Doctor in 1992 from the University of Ibadan subsequently gaining post-graduate qualifications in family medicine before relocating to the UK to commence psychiatry training. He has been in consultant roles over several years.

Dr Apio is on the specialist register with accreditation in general adult psychiatry following higher training in community, inpatient and forensic mental health medium secure services. He has held responsibilities in the NHS as well as private care settings.

Currently Dr Apio is in a dual role as consultant psychiatrist at Hayes Grove Priory Hospital in South London and combines inpatient responsibilities in the Specialist Eating Disorders Unit with an active outpatient role for patients who wish to access the hospital's private services. He also provide's RC responsibilities to the busy acute psychiatry ward when required.

Other interests outside of his nominated responsibilities include treatment of persons with addictive behaviours, neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD or Autism in addition to emerging difficulties with mood regulation and other affective or stress related difficulties.
