Currently Mr Peev is a full time Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon at Royal Victoria Hospital.

Since he joined Belfast in 2014, Mr Peev is pioneering the Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery in the region.

He has done the first minimally invasive(MISS)  TLIF lumbar spine fusion in the region in  2015 , now he  does this routinely. He holds  one of the highest number of MISS TLIFs done in Ireland (North and South) and probably UK as well.

He  has done the first cervical disk arthroplasty in the region  in 2016 and  doing  this routinely across all  the sites now.

He has  done the first in Ireland (North and South) Endoscopic Uniportal Spinal surgery in 2018  and  doing this routinely across all  the sites now.

He has done the first Unilateral Biportal Endoscopic surgery in Ireland (North and South)

He has sone the first in Ireland(North and South) Endoscopic TLIF spinal fusion in 2024  and is doing  this routinely across all the  sites now. He holds  the biggest number of this surgery not only in Ireland, but also in UK.  The last surgeries of this kind he is  doing without  use suction and coagulation because there is  practically very minimal or  no bleeding.

He has done the first in Northern Ireland Robotic Assisted Spinal Surgery in 2022

Mr Peev is also vey  active academically and is regularly invited as a faculty member of many educational courses and conferences through his work for the World Federation of the Neurosurgical Societies, World Spinal Column Society, Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons and many other organisations.
