Dr Nicola Curtis

Dr Nicola Curtis is a highly experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 13 years of experience as a substantive consultant in community CAMHS. She currently serves as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Harley Mind Care and holds a senior clinical role within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT). Dr Curtis is notably recognised for her long-standing clinical leadership in ADHD services, providing expert assessment and treatment for children and adolescents. Her unique training pathway began with a degree in Politics and International Relations before she completed a Distinction in an Access to Medicine course and earned her medical degree at Manchester University.

Beyond her primary psychiatric practice, Dr Curtis is an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist and is trained in specialised modalities including EMDR and therapeutic photography. She has a strong interest in the integration of lifestyle medicine within psychiatry and is actively involved in public mental health promotion. Demonstrating a dedicated commitment to professional development and workforce wellbeing, she serves as a clinical and educational supervisor, consultant appraiser, mentor, and examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Her practice centres on building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering holistic, evidence-based care plans, complemented by her specialised experience supporting residents in secure welfare children's homes and her expertise as a Section 12 Approved Clinician conducting Mental Health Act assessments.
