About Mr Nathan Choi

Nathan Choi is an experienced musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Brunel University London. A registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Nathan has developed a strong clinical background across both NHS and private healthcare settings.

Currently, Nathan practices at LDN Physio across the Old Street, Kentish Town, Elephant & Castle and Hackney clinics, where he works with patients to manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions. His expertise spans sports injuries, running-related concerns, spinal issues, and post-operative rehabilitation, with a consistent focus on supporting individuals through every stage of recovery.

Previously, Nathan held a senior role at Barbican Medical Centre, part of Nuffield Health, and gained extensive experience in private gym-based clinics across North West and Central London. He has also worked at a private hospital in North London, providing specialist care for patients recovering from surgery.

Nathan’s approach is holistic and patient-centred, combining education, functional rehabilitation, and evidence-based practice to create tailored treatment plans that align with each patient’s goals and lifestyle. Beyond the clinic, he is a dedicated badminton player with a strong interest in racket sports and shoulder injuries, which continue to inform his work with athletic populations.

Daniel Alvarado: From Shoulder Injury to Kendo Team GB

In this episode, LDN PHYSIO Shoulder Lead Nathan sits down with Dan...In this episode, as LDN PHYSIO Shoulder Lead I sit down with Daniel, a Team GB kendo athlete, to talk about his journey in kendo, the demands of competing internationally, and how shoulder rehabilitation at the clinic helped him return to training with more confidence. Daniel shares what it takes to train and compete in kendo, the difference between training in the UK and Japan, the physical and mental demands of the sport, and how recurring shoulder instability started to affect his performance. We also cover how sport-specific shoulder rehab can help athletes rebuild trust in their body, improve confidence in overhead positions, and return to the movements their sport actually demands. Daniel is currently preparing with the GB Kendo team for the European Championships. As kendo is self-funded, the team are raising money to support competitions, training camps, and international preparation.
