Mr Muhammad Hasan

Dr Mehedi Hasan is a Consultant Haematologist at Lister Hospital, Stevenage, where he leads both the Anticoagulation and Myeloid Services. With over 25 years of experience in haematology, Dr Hasan brings exceptional clinical expertise, compassionate patient care, and a strong academic background to his practice.

He completed his medical degree at Dhaka University in 1992, followed by postgraduate training in haematology at the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2000. After several years as a consultant haematologist in Dhaka, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he obtained his MRCP and FRCPath qualifications and became registered with the General Medical Council.

At Lister Hospital, Dr Hasan provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic management for a wide range of blood disorders. His key areas of expertise include general haematology, anticoagulation management, myeloid disorders, and chronic lymphoproliferative conditions such as myelodysplasia and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL).

Alongside his clinical commitments, Dr Hasan is deeply involved in medical education and professional development. He serves as an examiner for both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists, helping to shape the next generation of specialists. He is also an active member of the British Medical Association, the British Society of Haematology, and the European Society of Haematology.
