Mr Stuart McKirdy

Mr Stuart McKirdy is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon who qualified as a doctor in 1994 after completing medical school at St Andrews University and Manchester University. He began surgical training in 1995 and qualified as a plastic surgeon in 2006, obtaining the FRCS (Plast) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. This accreditation confirms that he has undertaken comprehensive training and formal examinations in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He works in the NHS at Royal Preston Hospital and Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Mr McKirdy practises across several locations, including his own private clinic, Purple Medical Clinic in Garstang, as well as Fulwood Hall Hospital in Preston and Lancaster Private Hospital, part of Circle Health Group. His clinical work includes a wide range of reconstructive and aesthetic procedures, covering breast surgery, body contouring, facial surgery, skin cancer surgery, laser treatments and hand surgery.

During his surgical training, he completed a two-year Master of Philosophy research degree focused on wound healing and scarring. He has presented and published his work internationally, and this continues to be a central area of interest.
