Mr Simon Thomson

Mr Simon Thomson is a Consultant General Surgeon currently practising at the private practise Spire Harpenden Hospital and the NHS practise West Hertfordshire Breast Care Unit, whereby he is the lead clinician. Mr Thomson specialises in breast surgery; he offers assessments for symptomatic patients and carries out diagnostic and therapeutic breast cancer procedures. Treatments he provides include oncoplastic breast conserving surgery and breast reconstruction.

Mr Thomson graduated in 1989 from University of Manchester Medical School with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. He completed general surgery training in Manchester counties. In 1993 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. In 2002 he obtained a Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training and has attained 2 research degrees, a Doctor of Medicine for breast cancer work and a BSc (Hons) in Anatomy.

Mr Thomson also provides general services, assisting as part of the emergency on-call rota utilising his many years of clinical experience and education.
