Are you Simon Pain?
Mr Simon Pain is a Consultant Breast Surgeon at Spire Norwich Hospital and GenesisCare Cambridge. He completed his medical degree at the University of Cambridge in 1991, subsequently completing his training at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He was first appointed as a Consultant in 2003 at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Mr Pain strongly believes that multi-disciplinary management of breast diseases is essential for optimum treatment outcomes. All breast cancer cases that are presented to him at his current posts are fully discussed in team meetings to ensure the best treatment methods are chosen. He is also a strong advocate for utilising the latest evidence-based techniques in his clinical practice, such as sentinel lymph node biopsy and immediate breast reconstruction (performed alongside plastic surgeons).
In addition to his expertise in breast disease, Mr Pain also has extensive experience in the surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid problems, including minimally invasive parathyroid surgery.
