About Mr Simon Jordan
Mr Simon Jordan joined the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust in 2006 as a consultant thoracic surgeon and is the chair of the cancer team at Royal Brompton Hospital.
He has expertise in the following areas:
- Single port VATS lung resection for lung cancer
- Adult and paediatric thoracic surgery
- Primary lung cancer surgery (including single-port video-assisted thoracic surgery lobectomy and anatomical segmentectomy)
- Tracheobronchial (airway) surgery

Mr Jordan gained his MD from Imperial College London for his work on the inflammatory response of the lung following major chest surgery.
