Mr Saura Jyoti Basu

Mr Saura Jyoti Basu is a consultant urological surgeon based in Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He specialises in benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), Kidney stones and kidney cancers alongside prostate conditions, urinary tract infections and overactive bladder. His private practice are at the Yorkshire Clinic (Ramsay Health) and The Huddersfield Hospital (Circle Group).

Mr Basu is highly qualified, having graduated (MBBS) from the University of Calcutta (1991) and was awarded MS in General Surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS and FRCS (Urol)). He has research experience in UK and has been awarded a PhD from the University of Bradford for his thesis on bladder cancer. He has been trained in Urology in Yorkshire and has been a consultant for 13 years.

He has had his clinical research published in various peer reviewed journals and is a member of several professional organisations. These include the British Association of Urological Surgeons, European Association of Urology and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
