He provides detailed explanations of procedures, options, and risks, using models and diagrams to ensure understanding. Patients report excellent outcomes from various eye procedures, achieving improved vision. Common reasons for consulting Mr Tanawade include cataract surgery, retinal detachment repair, lens replacement surgery, and epiretinal membrane treatment.
MrTanawade explained very clearly what was involved in cataract removal surgery, what different lens options were available and helped me to make the right decision for me. He was patient when explaining and always made sure that I understood. His use of a model of the eye really helped.
In may 2024 I was informed by the optician that my cataract in my right eye needed surgery asap and it was not driving standard. I was really worried about failing the DVLA test . I contacted the hospital and they were unable to operate before August when I had to take the test I contacted Mr Tanawade and he agreed to carry out the procedure in May 2025
I cannot praise Mr. Tanawade enough. During a very difficult time, having suddenly lost sight in one eye, his explanations after a thorough examination greatly relieved my anxiety about the potential permanent loss of my sight. A subsequent visit discussed all the various pathways and the risks involved in surgery to restore it. I had no hesitation in proceeding down the suggested pathways, trusting Mr. Tanawade’s expertise. If the NHS had not subsequently offered the same potential treatment in equally capable hands, I have no doubt I would have opted for private surgery with Mr. Tanawade. I can only rate Mr. Tanawade 10/10 for his straightforward manner and clear explanations, delivered with empathetic support for someone who was clearly quite distressed by a sudden, potentially life-changing issue.
Mr Tanawade has a really pleasant manner and explained every aspect of the treatment. He is very experienced and this has shown by the careful operation he performed on me. I felt very confident that I would receive first class treatment which he gave me. He studies his notes that he and others have written double checking everything leaving nothing to chance. He went through the 3D model of my eye pointing out faults unbelievable vision . You are in a good pair of hands with this surgeon.
consultant is only driven by money and cancelled my surgery because of christmas shopping HIS WORDS NOT MINE. he never gave me a fixed price and was full of promises. Due to partners cancer i needed to have this done so i could drive her to hospital which he knew about. I Went to another local provider which was outstanding. i have asked Mr. Tanawade for a refund for the work one and the message i got back was take me to court.......so i am.
I was extremely pleased with the outcome of my macular eye /cataract removal surgery. Both the vision and the distortion were greatly improved so as to be virtually perfect.
I met Mr Tanawade on the 10th December 2025 for a follow-up to my cataract surgery. The surgery had gone very well. With Mr Tanawade's help and advice I had chosen specific lenses to correct my vision and the results were as I'd hoped. A brilliant result and I am very happy with the treatment I have had from him.
My experience with Mr Tanawade was excellent. My day in surgery was stress free, and the care and attention both then and after could not be better. He is a most kind and considerate gentleman. My vision. is now excellent thanks to his, and his staffs care.
I was filled with confidence after my initial meeting with Mr Tanawade. That confidence remained throughout my treatment. He is a credit to his profession. My sight has returned to a level i never imagined. Well done sir.
The exceptional care I have received whilst under the care of Mr. Tanawade has been superb. From the very first appointment, he explained every step of the treatment that was to take place and on the day of my surgeries I felt confident in the surgical work he carried out. My cataract operations have been a great success and have been verified by Mr. Tanawade's examinations.
Rajeev is a highly sought-after and exceptionally capable retinal surgeon. He is thorough, meticulous, and consistently delivers excellent clinical care. I have been referring patients to him for sight-saving procedures for many years and have complete confidence in his expertise and judgement. I have no hesitation in strongly endorsing his skills as a caring and excellent ophthalmic surgeon.
