Throughout my whole treatment I found Dr Tanawade to be very professional and caring in his manner. He kept me very informed on the treatment process and filled me with confidence in getting a positive outcome, which is exactly what happened. He seems very pleased with the level of my sight recovery as am I. The follow up care has been thorough and I am still being checked regularly. I cannot express enough the gratitude I have for the care I have received.

I was initially very concerned about the operation as it seemed to be a very delicate procedure, and as I only have vision in one eye it could have had devastating consequences if it had not been successful. Mr Tanawade allayed all my concerns by explaining everything in detail and with confidence. The result was extremely successful and I can now drive without distance glasses . I would like to thank him for his patience and his continuing support and care .

I had a detached retina in my right eye on 31st December 2019. He successfully reattached it and continues to see me by appointment.

It was a very traumatic time for me as I awoke to not being able to see in my right eye- within a week I had an operation for a detached retina performed by Mr Tanawade - he was very reassuring, explained the risks and procedure and I felt safe in under his care. I then had to undergo a cataract op when the retina was reattached and again the procedure and risk explanation were discussed thoroughly. I had regular checkups and can’t rate the care received high enough. I then had some fluid behind the eye which was resolved with drops over a 6 week period. My final review was on the 9/2/23 and again Mr Tanawade was great in explaining the outcome and was pleased with the result. I would also like to say that Dr Duapandi was also very nice and helpful in the process. I had an opticians appointment on the 16/2/23 and my right eye is now 0 (perfect) without any visual aids. Earlier it was -1 so had improved again. May I take this opportunity to thank Mr Tanawade immensely and commend the staff in Opthamology. Many thanks Sandra L

From my first meeting with Mr. Tanawade he was able to explain what had happened to my sight and how he intended to treat it whilst also detailing the pitfalls involved, giving me some hope which was all I was seeking at that time. I then had surgery which seemed to have gone well but my sight did not improve immediately. Mr. Tanawade had warned me that it could take some time so I was prepared to be patient. He continued to check my progress at regular intervals and after approximately three months, following the removal of stitches, there was a significant change to my sight for the better which has continued through recent weeks. Not only my sight, I feel like I am getting my life back and am so grateful for the work carried out by Mr. Tanawade.

Mr. Tanawade is highly skilled, consistently reassuring and has supported me throughout a long period of eye surgery and ongoing consultation. It is a pleasure to attend his clinics and most interesting to observe his quiet, competent manner during surgery procedures. I can recommend him to patients with the utmost confidence.

I was recommended to Dr Tanawade from lytham eye specialist due to a failed slipped lens after cataract surgery on left eye November 2020. The operation Pars Plana Vitrectomy has been a 100% success. I can’t thank Dr Tanawade enough. While discussing my operation of cataract on my right eye in March 2020 Dr Tanawade discussed YAG laser. I had this procedure done and again 100% I honestly thought I’d never see properly again. Wow my eyes are now better than they were at age 16. Thank you so much to all the team involved in my journey of 4 months. All the staff have been tremendous.
