On my initial visit, I was told exactly what was wrong and what treatment I required. On the day of the procedure, everything was again explained to me and I was asked if I understood. I therefore felt very confident and relaxed about the whole experience and would recommend Mr Edge unreservedly.

I adore Mr Edge- he is absolutely direct and honest ( but with a twinkle) no reading between the lines. Which matters to me And the three joint replacements I have had with him have been great.

Mr Edge is a calm and professional person. He answers questions succinctly. He has a sense of humour which puts you at ease. Have had both hips replaced by him with no problems.

Prior to my operation for a right hip replacement by Mr Phillip Edge we had a very explicit and detailed conversation- every step of the process was covered. The operation went well and my recovery time was excellent- well within the 6 weeks time frame. Mr Edge clearly explained the procedure and the risks involved. He also emphasised that there would be a lot of pain associated with this operation. My operation went well and both Mr Edge and my physiotherapist are pleased with my post operation progress. (6 weeks) For anyone considering this operation it is well worth the end result, but to achieve this you must listen to the professional advice given and be prepared to work hard with the exercises and put up with a lot of pain. Mr Edge has been great throughout from consultations to surgery. He’s an ultimate professional who is very laid back and puts you at ease at all stages. He operated on my knee and found further wear which was undiagnosed before. Should he still be operating when this needs sorting in the future, I will have no hesitation in getting Mr Edge to be my surgeon.
