Mr Paul Sherry

Mr Paul Sherry is a Cheshire-based Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Specialising in adult orthopaedics, joint replacement, hip resurfacing, ACL rupture, meniscal cartilage tear, bunions, foot and ankle problems, he has particular interest in the management of orthopaedic conditions in young adults. He has been practicing in his field for 21 years, during which time he has completed over 2000 hip replacements and a similar number of knee replacements in addition to his extensive foot and ankle work. Together with his colleague Mr Nikhil Pradhan, Mr Sherry has performed more personalised knee replacement procedures than any other UK surgeon to date.

Following his graduation from St Bartholomew's and East Anglia Medical School, Mr Sherry undertook his specialist orthopaedic training in the UK and Canada. He was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 1995, where he continues to run a busy NHS service for all conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system.

Whilst he provides a service for the full range of orthopaedic conditions, Mr Sherry has a special interest in young adult conditions and in finding the best possible therapeutic solution for younger patients with knee, hip, foot and ankle problems.

With his outstanding reputation, Mr. Sherry has been an examiner for the FRCS (Orth) on behalf of the intercollegiate surgical board for the Royal College of England, Scotland and Ireland; a post he has held for the last 8 years. This allows him support the work of maintaining standards of surgical training in the British Isles; ensuring the highest quality care for surgical patients in Britain.
