Mr Keith Graetz

Mr Keith Graetz is a highly experienced Consultant General and Renal Transplant Surgeon based in Portsmouth. He began his medical journey at the University of Cambridge, qualifying in 1995, before pursuing higher surgical training. He was awarded his Doctorate in Medicine (DM) from Nottingham University in 2006 and attained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2007. With a distinguished career spanning over 15 years as a consultant surgeon, he maintains a busy NHS practice featuring dual expertise in both general surgery and kidney transplant surgery.

Mr Graetz has developed high-volume expertise in the surgical management of benign biliary disease and complex abdominal wall hernias. He is a specialist in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) techniques, performing a wide range of keyhole procedures including cholecystectomies and hernia repairs. In addition, he plays a vital role in renal failure surgery, specialising in vascular and peritoneal dialysis access as well as kidney transplantation. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Graetz serves as the Clinical Lead for emergency surgical services at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, where he drives high standards of patient safety, surgical training, and emergency care delivery.
