Professor Jonathan Stevenson

I had a total knee replacement done by Professor Stevenson at the ROH. I saw him at the Harborne Hospital twice, preoperatively and 2+ weeks after the operation. Professor Stevenson was professional and explained everything he was doing or recommended. He was easy to talk to and kind and I enjoyed meeting him. The operation was arranged very quickly and I had no doubts about having it done. It went well and I now have no pain so it's a success and I am so glad I had it done. I can, without any reluctance recommended Professor Stevenson. I would do it all again if necessary. He gave me confidence to know it would be an improvement and I am very grateful to him.

Due to my old titanium rod snapping I was sent to see mr Stevenson he was kind reassuring and made the entire experience easy and the new scar is a lot better looking than the old one I am so glad that he was my surgeon

Amazing doctor and surgeon, who has operated on my hip/pelvis with very extensive and major surgery which has helped me to walk again. Incredibly grateful to Dr Stevenson and all the team who have supported and cared for me.

I felt totally valued as a patient, I am listened to and have always felt confident with Mr Stevenson’s care and the options I am given for the future after surgery . This has been every visit, not just the recent one. I feel my pain is understood and all possibilities are put on the table so to speak to help me. I have total faith in him and his team for doing the very best for my future health.

I’m really glad that I was seen by Mr Stevenson in person. He was a ray of sunshine in my grim life of many months. I was treated with kindness, respect and dignity I had not seen before. I can see light at the end of a very long tunnel. Reassurance and compassion from him lifted my spirits and gave me a sense of wellbeing that was missing for so long. Thank you so much for caring Mr Stevenson.

Surgery went well by all accounts. Scar is neat and tidy. Pain beginning to subside but attention to pain and care from all the staff was brilliant.

Jonathan has a very relaxed and friendly approach. He answered all questions clearly and I valued his thoughts and opinion. We discussed options related to my condition and I understood clearly how best to proceed. I left the consultation feeling positive and hopeful for the future.

Mr Stevenson has a very calming presence in - what for me - was a very uncertain time. I felt I was in safe hands from day one and always left assured that everything was going to be ok.
