Mr Stevenson has a very calming presence in - what for me - was a very uncertain time. I felt I was in safe hands from day one and always left assured that everything was going to be ok.
Mr Stevenson put me totally at ease. He explained everything fully. Felt I was not talking to a doctor but a friend
A very reassuring consultation helping me to understand my type of surgery procedure to give me confidence for going ahead.

thank you
Mr.Stevenson listened to my concerns and gave a comprehensive explanation of the situation. He gave me options with possible outcomes that I can consider in my own time

thank you
Mr Stevenson explained everything very clearly, the pros and cons of the procedure.

thank you
My mum, Patricia Dennis, was referred to Mr Stevenson in late 2025 as an abscess had developed on her knee and an infection was suspected in her knee replacement. Mr Stevenson quickly but very clearly detailed the issue, the next steps and the urgency by which the infection in my mums knee needed to be dealt with. Despite the expected surgery that mum would need to go through (two more procedures) his explanation and reassurances were clear and welcome. Mum has since had one procedure to remove her replacement knee, remove the infection and insert an antibiotic spacer to ensure the infection would not return. All completed by Mr Stevenson which has all been brilliant. The latest consultation was to review the surgery and schedule the 2nd, to put a second knee replacement in for Mum. Pre-op has been arranged quickly and whilst understandably nervous of more surgery, both mum and I are very pleased that Mr Stevenson will be performing the procedure. He is a very nice man with a great bedside manner. He is interested in his patients experiences and doesn't only rely on a number, on a blood test result to determine how best to proceed, which given my mums experiences over the last few years is fantastic. I would say the Royal Orthopaedic were very fortunate to have him, I know mum and I have felt the same. Best Regards Chris D

Thank you for your kind words, fingers crossed for the future
I thought my treatment and the overall professionalism of both the office staff (Luan) and the consultant (Mr Stevenson) were excellent. I couldn’t rate my overall experience as anything other than first rate.

Excellent news I'm glad to hear
Although I had a long wait it was due to Mr Stevenson having to keep going to the theatre. He was very professional
