Excellent first visit.

I arranged a private consultation with Mr Dyer in May 2024 having received appalling service from QA Hospital, Portsmouth which, amongst its shortcomings, refused an operation or further discussion. Mr Dyer impressed immediately with his greater knowledge, experience and understanding, his attitude and approachability. The outcome was my transferring treatment immediately to Southampton and Mr Dyer’s arranging a prostatectomy. With my PSA having recently become detectable albeit at a low value, I wanted to discuss the general implications, ways forward, outcomes, and the like. There was no question at all in my mind that it had to be with Mr Dyer. The discussion in May 2026 answered all my questions, and many more, with clarity, fullness and evidence. It is extremely helpful in these circumstances to have access to someone in whom one has complete and utter confidence – Mr Dyer. (And with whom any meeting is an enjoyable experience).

Mr Dyer was patient and very clear in his explanations. He used analogies that made understanding my condition so much easier. As a result the proposed treatment was also understandable. Overall my experience of my consultation with Mr Dyer enabled me to feel that I knew what was causing my difficulties, what could be done and what the pros and cons were. He was very personable, knowledgeable and reassuring.
