Mr Jonathan Collier

I recently travelled international to London, UK on vacation. Prior to my trip I had a molar extracted, which seemed to be healing, and my dental surgeon said it was fine to travel. Unfortunately, when I arrived in London, I was in excruciation pain from the tooth. Through referral by my own dentist, I was able to get an appointment quickly with Jonathan Collier, Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon, at his clinic. I can not say enough about the wonderful treatment I received with his team. Dr. Collier was kind, patient and knowledgeable. He listened to my situation, took a scan, reviewed it with me and put in a dressing. His assistant Michelle was wonderful and was available all weekend; to answer questions I had about my tooth. He also gave me a second consult prior to returning home. Anyone who can see Dr. Collier, rest assured you will be in good hands.

After a devastating four-wheeler accident that nearly took my life, I suffered unimaginable facial trauma, I lost all four of my upper front teeth, one lower tooth, fractured both of my jaws, my nose, and my sinuses. At the end of March, I underwent another surgery with Mr. Jonathan Collier, and once again, I was reminded why I trust him and his team completely with my recovery. Mr. Collier performed extensive bone and tissue grafts in my upper jaw because, after the accident, I had lost not only my teeth but also a significant amount of bone. This reconstruction is essential for the next stage of my treatment receiving dental implants. Originally, the procedure on my lower jaw was supposed to involve only shaping. However, during surgery, Mr. Collier discovered that my lower jaw had never healed properly due to a medical mistake made during my first emergency surgery in Bulgaria, where the accident happened. He reacted immediately and decisively. He cleaned the area thoroughly and reconstructed the jaw using two metal plates. Throughout the entire process, both he and his team showed genuine care and concern for my recovery. Leading nurse Michelle was constantly available by email and phone whenever needed offering support and reassurance every step of the way. Around Easter, while I was back in Bulgaria, I noticed that part of the grafted bone had become exposed, and unfortunately my body had rejected a small portion of it. I immediately sent photos to Michelle, and despite it being during the Easter holidays, both Michelle and Mr. Collier remained constantly availab...

I’m immensely grateful to Dr Collier and his fantastic team for my recent surgery. Very professional, kind and caring, I was amazed how smoothly and, it seemed to me, easily the whole procedure went. Dr Collier’s expertise is reassuring and I felt confident and safe and his empathy means and helps a lot. The follow up care I received from the nurse Michelle was excellent. I went to visit Dr Collier to get my wisdom teeth removed. He was very supportive and always explained the whole process very well. His nurse Michelle was also great when it came to post operation communication. Whenever I had a concern or needed advice she would answer straight away.

I could not recommend Mr. Collier enough. The experience was seamless and gave me confidence in the process. Professional, thorough and reassuring explanations, and setting the expectations clearly. The team he works with (Michelle, as well) were very accomodating with my challenging schedule to contact me, reschedule the procedure, and allowing time to consider whether to proceed with the treatment without chasing me.

Perfectly handed. Surgery on the face is quite a frightening experience . Mr Collier made me feel totally comfortable and I think i am perfectly fixed! I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Jonathan Collier for the exceptional care and expertise he provided during my treatment for severe maxillofacial trauma involving two broken jaws, following a serious accident. The level of care I received before, during, and after the surgery was outstanding. The surgery itself was performed with great skill, and the post-operative care was excellent. I was contacted daily by Mr. Collier’s team to check on my recovery, offer guidance, and make sure I was doing well. Their constant support meant a great deal to me. After the surgery, all the necessary medications, painkillers, and mouth-care products were thoughtfully prepared and given to me in one bag. This was extremely helpful, as I was not in a condition to go out and buy supplies myself. It allowed me to go straight home and focus entirely on my recovery. Overall, I felt genuinely cared for and supported throughout the entire process. After a bike crash and many broken bones in my face, I visited Jonathan to have facial reconstruction surgery. He did a great job!

It is a week since I had an embedded wisdom tooth removed and it was the least trouble I have experienced from the tooth in two years. The anaesthetic (thank you Sonia) took care of the first couple of days and the aftercare which included gentle persuasion to stick to the rules (thank you Michelle) ensured a speedy recovery.
