I was worried about having the operation but Mr. Wong put my mind at rest immediately and made me feel confident. He was very supportive.

The hip surgery went well, the wound healed quickly and well, he is a very good surgeon and also has a very friendly personality.

I have had 2 hip replacements with Mr James Wong. He is extremely thorough, precise and dedicated to the best possible solution and outcome. You don’t feel as if you are on a conveyor belt with the surgeon operating blind as does happen. On my first appointment he sent me for another X-ray as the one on the system was a year old, he then put it up on a screen and showed me what he would do as well as showing me an example of the poly ceramic hip replacement. I was advised that as I had been born with hip dysplasia he would have to angle it in a certain way to keep the ball and socket in place as it would want to return to its original position. On the second replacement he added 7mm which levelled my pelvis and leg lengths. He spoke to me immediately after both operations, and visited me twice on the ward. It is 8 weeks since my second hip operation and the physio department at the Holly are amazed at the speed of my recover. I can garden, kneel, walk four miles, etc. What really gave him the edge was his calm, still and loving energy throughout what is technically an extremely brutal operation.

Loved his honesty and has workmanship for my recent Full knee replacement. His support to me before during and after was fantastic i would always recommend him and the hosp were excellent at all times during my care
