Mr Jake Alsop

Mr Jake Alsop is an osteopath with a background in sports science, biomechanics and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He specialises in sports injuries, strength and conditioning, and performance optimisation, combining osteopathic treatment with functional assessment and exercise-based approaches to support recovery, movement and physical performance.

Mr Alsop works with a wide range of patients, including dancers, strength athletes, CrossFit practitioners and individuals experiencing musculoskeletal complaints. His approach incorporates manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, spinal and peripheral joint manipulation, and exercise and training programme prescription. He draws on his understanding of biomechanics and human performance to support injury rehabilitation, improve physical function and promote long-term movement health.

In 2022, Mr Alsop completed training in musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound and has since integrated sonography into his osteopathic practice. By combining ultrasound imaging with functional biomechanical assessments, he uses diagnostic findings to inform diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning. He also holds qualifications in sports massage and medical acupuncture, complementing his osteopathic treatment techniques.

Mr Alsop graduated with honours in Sports Science from Brunel University, focusing on the biomechanics and physiology of athletic and human performance. He subsequently obtained a Master of Osteopathy qualification from the University College of Osteopathy (UCO). His professional experience includes working in hospital and private clinical settings, sports clinics and community healthcare environments.
