Very professional and left with a clear timescale for treatment
Mr Coveney and team were delightful individuals, supportive, kind and everything else. However my scan in November 2025 had suggested a ‘’cyst of nuck’ when in fact it was a femoral hernia. I had chosen to have the original diagnoses under a local, as the op revealed a more serious intervention it was too late to change my mind and the whole procedure was painful to say the least. Maybe I was resistant to the local anaesthetic as I felt sharpness and high level psi all the way through. I think I’ve been very luck as it could have become strangulated and an emergency. The wound is healing nicely but I have a lot of swelling on my right side abdo. I’m eating, peeing & pooping fine, no temperature or feelings of nauseous waves.
Mr Coveney explained the results of my CT Scan in a understandable fashion and came up with a future plan which suited us both.
My appointment was spot on time which helps enormously for a patient who might be very apprehensive or worried. I am very grateful for the excellent treated I have received
I wrote down questions that I wanted to ask. Mr Coveney who was very attentive and patient and we covered a lot of my diagnosis, the findings and what the future plans of treatment will be. I know that he had a very long day ahead of him, but the talk we had did not feel rushed. Regrettably it took 4 surgeries to reach the outcome of a full mastectomy but Mr Coveney was able to show me all my scans, explained a lot and I left feeling very postive and grateful.
