Mr David Oliver specialises in all areas of cosmetic surgery. His is an expert in aesthetic surgery and in particular cosmetic breast surgery which involves breast augmentation, mastopexy (breast uplift) and breast reduction surgery.
Mr Oliver was appointed as an NHS Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in 2005, giving him over 15 years as a consultant. His special interests are microsurgical breast reconstruction and skin cancer surgery.
Mr. Oliver completed training in plastic surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, after which he completed higher specialist training at the Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford. He passed the FRCS in plastic surgery in 2003 and was awarded the McGregor medal for distinction in the examination. Mr Oliver trained in cosmetic surgery in Perth, Western Australia and then as the Aesthetic Surgical Fellow at the McIndoe Surgical Centre, East Grinstead.
In addition to his extensive surgical practice, Mr. Oliver is also a passionate educator and is committed to teaching future surgeons. He is chairman of the South-West Peninsula Specialist Training Committee for plastic surgery. Mr Oliver is also an examiner in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the Joint Royal Colleges of surgeons , FRCS (Plast) the final examination for entry into the GMC's specialist registry for Plastic Surgeons
He has published extensively in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery with over 30 published peer-reviewed publications and numerous presentations.

A very smooth experience with David from my consultation right through to my surgery 4 months later. I wish I had done breast augmentation sooner! Mr Oliver has been amazing from the initial consultation through to post surgery. He is very professional and polite but also very approachable. He listens to what you want and will share his thoughts. I am so happy with the results of the surgery the whole process has been so much better than I ever imagined. My stomach has never been this flat, not even as a teenager. Unbelievable results with very little pain and no complications. I felt very safe and would not hesitate to see Mr Oliver again.

Mr Oliver made me feel calm and relaxed and was just amazing…. I was so nervous and each time I saw him I felt more relaxed about the process. I’m so pleased with my results and I cannot get over how tiny my scars are, I’m pretty sure within 6 months you won’t even be able to see them. Mr Oliver is clearly incredible at what he does and I don’t know what I was so worried about!!! I’d repeat the whole process and recovery again without a second thought, I didn’t find it that painful at all. I’d recommend Mr Oliver to anyone considering breast augmentation.
