About Mr David McCaul
Mr David McCaul is an experienced ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon providing comprehensive care across both adult and paediatric otolaryngology. He qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCh) from University College Dublin in 2001, before undertaking specialist training in Otolaryngology in Melbourne, Australia. This international training has contributed to his broad clinical expertise and well-rounded approach to patient care.
Following his training, Mr McCaul was appointed as a consultant within the Southern Trust, where he now serves as Clinical Director of cancer services. In this leadership role, he is actively involved in the development and delivery of high-quality cancer care, alongside his ongoing clinical practice.
Mr McCaul offers a full spectrum of ENT services and has developed particular subspecialist interests in thyroid and salivary gland disorders, voice conditions, paediatric ENT, as well as snoring and sinus surgery. He is known for his patient-centred approach, combining surgical expertise with careful attention to individual needs.
Outside of his professional work, he enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, with interests including swimming, football, and squash.
