Mr Christopher Brew presents as professional, informative, reassuring, and friendly to his patients, performing hip replacement, total knee replacement, and knee arthroscopy procedures. Patients report immediate pain relief and improved mobility after surgery, and highlight thorough explanations, efficient processes, and excellent post-operative care from Mr Brew and his team. Some patients mention initial recovery pain was important; they report the life-changing results make it worthwhile, with the greatest benefits being the return of quality of life and becoming pain-free.
Best thing I did, was apprehensive but I had severe constant osteoarthritis pain. Had hip replacement, in hospital overnight, Mr Brew & his team, are excellent, they alleviated my fears of having the surgery, i am so grateful that I have, at last, not got the arthritis pain. I would advise anybody with constant pain that is worrying, as I was, not to.
Today was a year on from my hip replacement. Everything is perfect and I have my life back. Prior to my operation, I had constant pain and restricted movement, which was seriously damaging my ability to live my life and impacting my mental health. Now I’m back to walking 10-12k steps per day, back at the gym, able to do all the things I could do before my hip symptoms began. Making the choice to have the surgery was the best decision I could have made.
My experience was very good as I did the exercises before surgery and after . My knee now means I can walk as I did a few years ago and not have the pain that used to go with it. It has been well worth the discomfort of surgery to get where I am now.
I attended The Bradford Royal Infirmary to see Mr Chris Brew who 12 months earlier had done my hip replacement surgery. I am highly satisfied not only with the procedure but the care and attention afforded to me within the NHS. The way Mr Brew talks to you and explains one’s options and the situation from his point of view is in my opinion an excellent way to go forward. There are times when you need confidence and I truly received it.
I'm Enid aged 82. After prolonged period of extreme pain and severely reduced mobility my hip replacement took place. I'm 8 weeks into recovery, pain free without medication, (exercising conscientiously) and walking about the house without sticks doing the things I enjoy... cooking, baking, driving and even some gardening! I'm looking forward to soon getting out the real walking sticks and heading for the gentle slopes of the Dales
After the best part of 2 years of restricted and painful movement courtesy of a severely arthritic left hip I am now completely pain free, having gone through a hip replacement operation at the hands of Mr Brew. Whilst naturally a little nervous prior to the operation the whole process was, for me, stress and pain free; to the extent that I have required nothing stronger than paracetamol ito managed any discomfort following the operation. I am now pain free, back to normal walking and other activities, and cannot recommend the operation more strongly.
Had hip replacement, operation went really well, recovery going great, very pleased with the the whole experience and I'm walking without any pain whatsoever. Thankyou Yorkshire Clinic & Christopher Brew. 👏👏👏
Mr Brew was very friendly but extremely professional. He talked me through my hip replacement and I felt secure in the knowledge that he was a very experienced consultant. I was concerned about pain relief after the op but I need not have been, as it was managed perfectly. My whole experience was better than I could have expected. Once again thank you so much Mr Brew I am delighted with everything concerning my hip replacement.
I was home the same day & made a very good recovery. My mobility improved very quickly & I put that down to attending aqua aerobics & aqua pilates, which enabled me to maintain a good level of fitness prior to the op. Highly recommend it.
Mr Brew is a highly experienced consultant colleague with excellent results. He sub specialises in hip and knee joint replacement and sports injuries. His personal approach and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend him
