Mr Anthony Quinn

Mr Anthony Gerard Quinn is an esteemed Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and vision correction specialist who has been dedicated to restoring sight for over two decades. He completed his comprehensive ophthalmic surgery training in New Zealand before pursuing highly specialised international clinical fellowships at Toronto General Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, establishing a clinical foundation in both adult and paediatric ophthalmic surgery.

Since his consultant appointment in 1996, Mr Quinn has performed thousands of vision correction procedures on patients of all ages, from infants to senior citizens. He is widely recognised for his mastery of refractive lens surgery, complex cataract procedures, and the management of high prescriptions. In 2008, his authoritative standing and distinguished contributions to the field were formally recognised with a prestigious National Clinical Excellence Award by the ACCEA.

His professional leadership extends to the governance of medical training, having previously served as the Head of the School of Ophthalmology for the NHS South West Peninsula Deanery.
