Mr Amit Kapoor

Mr Amit Kapoor is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in the care of patients with disorders of the shoulder and elbow. His specialist interests include arthroscopic (key-hole) surgery for soft tissue injuries and joint replacement surgery for shoulder arthritis, with expertise in the treatment of fractures and traumatic injuries to the entirety of the upper limb. He also undertakes peripheral nerve decompressions and procedures (injections and surgical release) for tennis and golfer's elbow.

Mr Kapoor trained in various hospitals in the North West, including a UK shoulder fellowship post at the tertiary referral unit of Wrightington Hospital. In addition to his surgical qualifications, he has an MSc in Trauma Surgery and also holds a Diploma in sports and Exercise medicine.

Mr Kapoor lectures nationally on shoulder surgery and is involved in running a national Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery course alongside teaching and examining trainees for FRCS examinations.

He has published in medical journals and presented his research at national and international scientific meetings, which enables him to remain at the leading edge of shoulder and elbow surgery. Mr Kapoor uses the most up-to-date Orthopaedic treatment and has an informative approach with patients.
