Mr Mohsin Patel

Mr Mohsin Patel is a Consultant ophthalmologist at Kingston Hospital with a particular interest in cataract, refractive and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. He routinely treats complex cataract and glaucoma cases and has performed well over 1,000 surgical procedures. He regularly treat both open-angle glaucoma and closed-angle glaucoma. He is skilled in the use of various laser techniques for both refractive and Glaucoma purpose. Mr Patel has further training in cataract and refractive surgery obtaining a distinction in this diploma alongside holding a laser refractive certificate awarded by the Royal College of Ophthalmology.

Mr Patel graduated from the University of London and went on to train in ophthalmology at Kings College London and the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. Throughout his training, he has achieved a number of accolades including an award from Health Education England for his work in reducing the risk to patients admitted to hospital.

Mr Patel is also involved in medical education and is an examiner for Barts and The London Medical School. He also trains future ophthalmologists and assists in the recruitment of future doctors for medical school. Mr Patel is also involved with examining future consultant ophthalmlogists and plays an active role in this with the Royal College of Ophthalmology.

Mr Patel is a member of a number of associations including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons.
