Mr Mohamed Yehia Abdallah

Mr Mohamed Yehia Abdallah PhD, FRCS (Urol) is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, with specialist expertise in endourology, kidney stone surgery, prostate problems and minimally invasive urological surgery.

He has been a Consultant in the UK since 2016 and has extensive experience in both general urology and complex endourological conditions. His particular areas of expertise include enlarged prostate (BPH), lower urinary tract symptoms, HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate), kidney and ureteric stones, ureteroscopy and laser stone surgery, PCNL and other minimally invasive procedures. He also provides assessment and treatment for haematuria, recurrent urinary tract infections, urological conditions, vasectomy and circumcision and scrotal conditions.

Mr Yehia Abdallah has undertaken extensive specialist training in endourology both in the UK and internationally. He was awarded a prestigious Society Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) Clinical Fellowship at the Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital in India, a major international centre for endourological surgery, where he gained advanced experience in PCNL, RIRS and laparoscopic surgery. He subsequently undertook a European Urological Scholarship Programme (EUSP) clinical fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, further developing his expertise in endourology and complex stone disease.

He holds a PhD in Genitourinary Surgery, an MSc in Genitourinary Surgery, MRCS and FRCS (Urology) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His academic and research interests include minimally invasive urological surgery, kidney stone disease, prostate disease and innovations aimed at improving patient care. He has published research and presented his work at national and international urological meetings.

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Yehia Abdallah is actively involved in surgical education. He is a Royal College of Surgeons surgical tutor and a member of the Intercollegiate Court of Examiners for MRCS and FRCS (Urology), as well as an experienced clinical and educational supervisor for surgical trainees.

His approach is centred on providing patients with a clear diagnosis, explaining treatment options in straightforward terms and selecting the most appropriate treatment according to their individual circumstances. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques that can provide effective treatment while supporting a quicker recovery where appropriate.

He sees private patients in Wrexham, Chester, Shrewsbury and surrounding areas, with private practice privileges at Spire Yale, Spire Abergele, Nuffield Chester and Nuffield Shrewsbury.
