Dr Mohammed Hussain Ali Khan is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist specialising in neurodevelopmental disorders and complex mental health presentations. He graduated from the University of Manchester in 2016 and completed his specialist training within the North West of England. Dr Khan currently holds clinical leadership roles, serving as the Lead Consultant for a neurodevelopmental service specialising in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), alongside leading a Tier 4 adolescent inpatient unit. In his inpatient role, he manages acute psychiatric presentations and severe mental health crises in young people requiring specialised tertiary care.
Dr Khan focuses on the assessment and management of neurodiversity across the developmental lifespan. His clinical expertise encompasses a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and emerging psychosis. He utilises evidence-based psychopharmacology alongside integrated therapeutic interventions, tailoring treatment plans to the individual clinical needs of each young person. Additionally, Dr Khan is involved in medical education and service development, having played a key role in developing neurodevelopmental pathways to ensure timely assessment, diagnosis, and long-term support for children and their families.
