Dr Michael Keogh is a highly qualified Consultant Neurologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. With extensive clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing disorders of the brain and nervous system, he conducts general neurology consultations alongside specialist clinics. In his clinical practice, Dr Keogh has developed sub-specialist expertise in neurogenetics, movement disorders, and sleep neurology. His specialist work encompasses evaluating patients with genetic forms of neurological disease, movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, and conditions including restless legs syndrome. Dr Keogh completed his undergraduate medical education at the University of Nottingham, earning a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci), a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS), and a Master of Clinical Neurology (MSc). He subsequently undertook a Master of Clinical Research (MClinRes) at Newcastle University and completed a PhD in the genetics of neurodegenerative disorders at the University of Cambridge. Additionally, he completed a research fellowship in gene therapy in the United States.
