Dr Michael Farrugia

Dr Michael Farrugia is a consultant dermatologist at Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital and at the Lauriston Building (NHS Lothian) in central Edinburgh. His NHS and private practice both cover all major areas of the specialty: adults with severe complex eczema and psoriasis who require immunosuppressive treatments and biologics, patients with skin cancer requiring surgical treatment, adolescents and young adults with acne, patients with autoimmune skin rashes such as lupus or urticaria, and children with a variety of rashes and skin growths. In the private sector he also treats non-cancerous skin lesions such as seborrhoeic keratoses, sebaceous cysts, skin tags, benign moles etc. He performs full body mole assessments using dermatoscopy.
