Dr. Matthew Gormally

Dr Matthew Gormally is a highly experienced dentist based in Lancashire. He specialises in dental implants (crowns, bridges and dentures) with particular expertise in bone and sinus grafting techniques, enabling patients who would not usually be suitable candidates to be treated successfully. He also has a specialist interest in oral surgery and cosmetic procedures and provides a comprehensive range of dental treatments including root canal treatments and routine fillings.

After qualifying in dentistry from Leeds University in 2000, Dr Gormally completed his vocational training year in Bradford. He worked as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at York District Hospital and obtained Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Following this, he undertook advanced training in dental implants, obtaining his Diploma by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010. This qualification is generally considered the gold standard in dental implant training in the UK.

Alongside, his clinical work Dr Gormally is passionate about education and has been a Clinical Teaching Fellow in oral surgery at both Leeds and Manchester University, passing on his knowledge to undergraduate students.
