About Dr. Matt Stubbs

Dr Matt Stubbs is a leading Consultant in Pain Medicine at the Wessex Pain Clinic. His NHS practice is based at Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust.

He specialises in treatment of all chronic and complex pain conditions, including back, neck and advanced spinal pain, neuropathic pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, musculoskeletal pain, migraine, headache, facial pain, and a range other complex pain conditions including CRPS and abdominopelvic pain.

He graduated with Triple Distinction from St Bart's and The Royal London Medical School, and was awarded First Class and Dean's List Honours in Clinical Science at University College London (UCL).

Dr Stubbs has extensive experience, holding fellowship status with both the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMRCA) and Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA). He is one of only a handful of consultants in the UK to have completed further advanced fellowship at the world-renowned Pain, Neuromodulation and Headache Centres at GSTT London - mastering cutting-edge pain management skills.

Dr Stubbs is well known for his warm and person-centered approach, taking time to explore his patient's individual needs and supporting them through every stage of their treatment.
