Dr Louise Wilson

Dr Louise Wilson is a highly dedicated Consultant Clinical Geneticist specialising in Paediatrics. She provides expert care for infants, children, and young people experiencing a wide range of inherited conditions and rare genetic disorders. Driven by a compassionate and patient-centred approach, Dr Wilson works closely with families to offer reassuring support, thorough clinical evaluation, and accurate diagnostic assessment for complex paediatric health conditions.

Her clinical interests focus extensively on rare paediatric disorders, with particular expertise in craniofacial conditions and craniosynostosis. Dr Wilson also possesses specialised knowledge in the genetic aspects of complex endocrine and metabolic conditions, including pseudohypoparathyroidism, GNAS-related disorders, acrodysostosis, calcium dysregulation, and skeletal dysplasias. Through comprehensive clinical evaluations and tailored genetic counselling, she helps families understand complex diagnoses and guides them toward appropriate care pathways.

Dr Wilson earned her medical degree at the University of Manchester, where she also completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She advanced her post-graduate education by obtaining a Diploma in Clinical Genetics from the Institute of Child Health and University College London. Furthermore, she completed a Medical Research Council Training Fellowship in genetics through the Institute of Child Health and the University of Leicester, consolidating her academic grounding in paediatric genetic medicine.
