Miss Louisa Ferguson

Miss Louisa Ferguson is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon specialising in Paediatric Otolaryngology and Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery. She provides private consultations at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children and is the only surgeon in the UK to be qualified in both cleft and ENT subspecialties. Miss Ferguson has expertise in all areas of paediatric ENT, but has a particular interest in the following conditions:

• Airway disorders
• Sleep apnoea
• Facial plastic surgery
• Palatal dysfunction affecting speech.

She gained her medical qualification (MB ChB) from the University of Edinburgh in 2006 before undergoing surgical training in London and Scotland. Following this, she spent two years honing her skills during fellowships at the Evelina Children's Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Additionally, she has authored a number of text book chapters and peer-reviewed papers in her field. She is also a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Miss Ferguson is the current representative for ENT UK on the UK wide surgical Training Interface Group Committee for Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery. She also has a passion for surgical leadership and education and has completed the Surgical Leadership and Management Programme at Harvard Medical School.
