About Dr Lisa Bray

Dr Lisa Bray is a Consultant General Paediatrician subspecialising in Paediatric Rheumatology, based in Sussex. As a Paediatric Rheumatologist, Dr Bray treats a range of auto-inflammatory conditions affecting joints, muscles and the eyes including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, uveitis (affecting the eye), lupus, dermatomyositis (affecting the skin and muscle) and sarcoidosis. She is an experienced clinician who acts as the lead of the Paediatric Rheumatology service at University Hospital Sussex NHS Foundation Trust for the St Richard and Worthing Hospital population.

Dr Bray has nearly 20 years of clinical experience. She graduated from the University of East Anglia with her degree in Medicine in 2007, and became registered as a dual trained specialist consultant in Paediatrics and Paediatric Rheumatology in 2020. She achieved her awarded Paediatric Rheumatology subspeciality by training at both Southampton University Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

She is enthusiastic about quality improvement, and has contributed to writing regional and national clinical guidelines used by other healthcare professionals in areas such as the management of swollen joints in children, and the management of chicken pox contacts in immunosuppressed children.
