Dr Lalit Bhalla is a highly knowledgeable Consultant Cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. His junior doctor training took place in various hospitals throughout Yorkshire and London before he successfully obtained a training number for Cardiology with the Welsh Deanery in 2005. Dr Bhalla has been situated in Wales ever since, and currently works at the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Since November 2021, Dr Bhalla has also taken on responsibility for being health board's Clinical Director of Cardiology.
Previously, Dr Bhalla served as Clinical Governance Lead for Cardiology for 3 years during his time with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. Clinical governance, audit and data collection play a vital role in high-procedure specialties like Cardiology, helping to ensure that practices stay up-to-date and that procedure numbers, complications are all monitored and discussed on a regular basis to maintain best possible care. As a result, he is highly informed about the latest developments in the field of cardiology, and is well-equipped to provide the highest quality care to patients.
Dr Bhalla is a member of several prestigious organisations, including the British Society of Echocardiography, British Heart Valve Society, British Cardiovascular Society, and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Bhalla was an extremely knowledgeable doctor. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the onset. He clearly explained my medical condition, the diagnosis and the and medication to be taken. He answered all my questions and I left the consultation room feeling positive and confident in his ability as a Cardiologist. A very positive experience with a good outcome.

Very calm and welcoming looked at the problem not the obese person sat before him, good plan of action really put my mind at ease.

This is the best money I've ever spent. Dr Bhalla was absolutely brilliant. He knew exactly what he was doing and diagnosed my heart condition immediately. Then arranged for me to go straight into hospital to have a pacemaker fitted together with a new heart valve. His attention to detail was immaculate from start to finish. I have already recommended him to friends and family.
Thank you for your review. Sometimes walking into a cardiology clinic can lead to an emergency admission. My hope is to strive to deal with such circumstances in a calm manner to avoid panic and give all necessary information to my patients so that they can make an informed decision regarding their care.
