Dr Krithik Ranganathan

Dr Krithik Ranganathan is an experienced Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine. He completed his comprehensive specialist training in Rehabilitation Medicine within the North West Deanery, developing a focus on complex neurological recovery. He is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and has served as the Lead Consultant for the rehabilitation service at Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre since joining the team in 2014.

His clinical practice is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and functional independence of patients following significant neurological events. His specialist interests include neuro-rehabilitation and spasticity management, including the use of ultrasound-guided Botulinum toxin injections, alongside rehabilitation following stroke and traumatic brain injury. He uses these approaches to support the management of spasticity and improve patients’ functional outcomes as part of their wider rehabilitation programme.

Alongside his clinical commitments, Dr Ranganathan is actively involved in medical education and the training of future specialists in the field of rehabilitation. He serves as Training Programme Director for Rehabilitation Medicine in the North West and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic neuro-rehabilitation, helping patients achieve their maximum rehabilitation potential.
