Mr Khalid Riaz

Mr Khalid Riaz is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience in eye care, having worked across a range of leading hospitals and healthcare institutions in the UK and Ireland. He specialises in cataract surgery, corneal disease, oculoplastic procedures, and general ophthalmology.

He began his medical career in Pakistan, where he spent around a decade developing his ophthalmology skills before moving to the UK and obtaining further specialist qualifications in 2002.

Mr Riaz has performed over 11,000 cataract procedures and has helped thousands of patients achieve improved vision through surgical and refractive treatments. His clinical work spans multiple regions, including services provided in locations such as Cork, Newport, and Newcastle, reflecting his broad experience across different healthcare systems.

He currently performs ophthalmic surgery at Optical Express clinics in Manchester and Leeds, where he focuses on cataract and refractive eye surgery, contributing to high-volume vision correction services across the UK.
