Dr Keith Muir is an accomplished Consultant Neurologist who provides expert care for patients experiencing complex neurological conditions. He maintains a primary clinical focus on cerebrovascular disorders, including acute stroke, transient ischaemic attacks, and inherited vascular conditions. Dr Muir completed his undergraduate medical training, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degrees. He subsequently advanced his qualifications by earning both a Master of Science (MSc) and a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree. Demonstrating a strong commitment to high standards of professional practice, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and a Fellow of the European Stroke Organisation (FESO).

In his clinical practice, Dr Muir specialises in acute ischaemic stroke management, neuroimaging, and the evaluation of complex neurovascular presentations. He utilises advanced diagnostic imaging techniques, such as CT perfusion, CT angiography, and multimodal MRI, to guide rapid decision-making and precise treatment choices. His expertise encompasses emergency clot-busting therapies like intravenous thrombolysis, evaluation for mechanical thrombectomy, and the diagnosis and management of rare vascular conditions such as CADASIL.
