Dr Keerthi Prakash

Dr Keerthi Prakash is an accomplished Consultant Cardiologist with expertise across general and advanced cardiovascular medicine. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals receive thorough diagnostic evaluations and personalised treatment plans for a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Her reassuring approach focuses on clear communication and collaborative decision-making, helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their care.

In her clinical practice, Dr Prakash sub-specialises in advanced cardiac imaging, inherited cardiac conditions, and sports cardiology. She has expertise in detailed cardiac imaging, including transthoracic echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac MRI. Her clinical focus encompasses the diagnosis and management of inherited cardiac diseases, cardiomyopathies, channelopathies, and sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS). Additionally, she provides comprehensive cardiovascular screening and evaluations for athletes and active individuals to safeguard their long-term heart health.

Dr Prakash completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Leeds, where she was also awarded a First-Class Honours intercalated Bachelor of Science in Clinical Sciences. She went on to undertake a research fellowship at St George's, University of London, obtaining an MD(Res) with a focus on inherited cardiac conditions and sports cardiology. In recognition of her dedication to clinical practice and medical education, she was appointed a Fellow of the British Society of Echocardiography (FBSE) and has served on the society's Education Committee.
