Dr Karen Turnock is a dedicated Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician who provides expert, compassionate medical care for newborns, infants, and young children. Serving in key leadership positions, including roles as Head of Service and Clinical Lead, Dr Turnock is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, family-centred care for neonates who require specialised medical attention and close monitoring during early life.

Dr Turnock earned her medical qualification in Leeds before undertaking extensive postgraduate training in Paediatrics and Neonatology across the south of England. Her professional focus encompasses clinical excellence, multi-disciplinary team leadership, and medical education, contributing to high standards of patient care and trainee development within neonatal care environments.

In her clinical practice, Dr Turnock specialises in Neonatology and the management of premature or unwell infants requiring complex care. Her primary areas of clinical interest include neonatal outreach care and home oxygen therapy, which facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home, as well as medicines safety and clinical governance. Working in close partnership with families and wider healthcare teams, Dr Turnock ensures that every infant receives tailored, supportive care designed to promote optimal long-term health outcomes.
