About Dr Justin Gould

Dr Justin Gould is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with expertise across the full spectrum of general cardiology. He cares for patients with chest pain, breathlessness, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other common cardiac concerns, and has a particular interest in the assessment and management of palpitations, dizzy spells, blackouts and heart rhythm disorders. He also specialises in advanced cardiac imaging. Dr Gould is based at Medway NHS Foundation Trust in Kent and is an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London.

Dr Gould graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School at King’s College London with a distinction in special study programmes and completed his Cardiology training across London and the South East. He went on to undertake advanced subspecialty training in cardiac rhythm management, pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), CT coronary angiography and Cardiac MRI at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, gaining extensive hands-on expertise in modern cardiac diagnostics and device therapy.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Gould is committed to teaching and medical education. He serves as both an interviewer and examiner for King’s College London Medical School and also interviews for the Cardiology specialist training programme across London and the South East.

Dr Gould has an exceptional academic background, holding a BSc in Pharmacology and a PhD focused on cardiac device therapy and cardiac imaging from Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College London. He has presented widely at national and international conferences, earning recognition as a finalist in both the European Heart Rhythm Congress Investigator Awards and the Royal Society of Medicine President’s Prize Awards. With over 80 peer-reviewed publications as a first or co-author, he remains actively engaged in research and continues to contribute to advancements in cardiac science and patient care.
