Dr Judith King

Dr Judith King is a dedicated Consultant Medical Oncologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive care for patients navigating cancer diagnoses. Specialising in medical oncology with a strong focus on breast cancer, Dr King works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualised, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique health needs and personal goals. Her approach emphasises clear communication and holistic support throughout every stage of the treatment journey.

In her clinical practice, Dr King possesses extensive expertise in systemic anti-cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, and targeted treatments. She holds a particular clinical interest in immunotherapy, clinical trials, and addressing the specific needs of young women with breast cancer, including fertility preservation strategies during oncology treatment. In addition to her therapeutic work, Dr King plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing oncology and palliative care services, ensuring patients receive balanced, patient-centred care.

Dr King earned her primary medical qualification in 2001, having studied at Cambridge University and Guy's and St Thomas' School of Medicine and Dentistry. She subsequently undertook advanced scientific research, completing a PhD in T cell immunotherapy of malignancies at University College London in 2008. To further refine her leadership and healthcare management expertise, she completed a Darzi Fellowship in Leadership and Management alongside a Postgraduate Certificate from Leeds Business School. Dr King remains actively involved in clinical research and professional organisations, serving as a Breast Cancer Specialty Lead to advance standards in oncology research and patient care.
