The most professional and lovely doctor you could ask to look after your child. Mr Wright performed a minor operation on my son’s foot. A Complete professional, explained everything and a great outcome. Highly recommend.

Explanation

It will be difficult to make this concise, but here is my best attempt, I will make outmost effort to be accurate, without exaggerations, but I'm sure some details will be omitted. I came to Mr Wright after 5 years that included 4 operations on my femural fracture that would not unite. My latest consultant in Bristol, Mr Atkins, advised me that there is a number of things that could be done for me but chances are my bone will still not unite, as some cases are like that. When I sensed that my consultant in Bristol does not believe in my healing, I requested my GP to refer me to RNOH, hoping that as a teaching hospital some new solutions could be tried. Mr Wright received me in his office some 2 years ago in the midst of Covid pandemic. Mr Wright confirmed non Union diagnosis and offered a surgery which would include bone graft and nail exchange. After some months of covid related delays in April 2021 Mr. Wright operated on me, operation went really well. For the first time in my journey it was decided to take microbiological samples from the fracture and Mr. Wright instructed for IV antibiotics to be administered to me from day One. Bacteria did not grow till day 8, so it took some conviction for Mr. Wright to keep me in the hospital under antibiotic regim, especially that I was eager to go home. After bone infection was confirmed, 3 months of antibiotics were prescribed. And it took about 6 months for me to really ditch my crutches and walking sticks and feel young and able again. When my leg was broken, I could not go for walks, and so many day to day tasks, even fun activities, had to be conducted through pain. I think part of me also accepted that this is how my life is going to be lived. And I'm in my 30s! Today, August 2022, a year on since my op, I climed the steps of St Paul's cathedral with my family, and no, I'm not in pain. I am able to enjoy the gift of mobility. Thank you, Mr. Wright, you have changed my life.
